Unity Day was celebrated with spirited enthusiasm at St Agnes School CBSE on October 30, 2024. The event was organized to foster unity, harmony, and patriotism , spreading a powerful message of togetherness across diverse backgrounds.
The celebration began with a heartfelt prayer service led by the students of Grades 1 and 7, followed by a vibrant welcome dance from Grade 1. Jia Mahesh of Grade 7 introduced and warmly welcomed the chief guest, Mrs Namrutha Rao, PTEC Secretary, with a potted plant . The students captivated the audience with a compelling dance drama that symbolized patriotism and unity, followed by a mime performance reinforcing these themes.
In her address, Mrs Namrutha Rao emphasized the significance of unity, mutual respect, and collective growth. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Samaira Diya Fernandes, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest , Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C. for her unwavering encouragement and support.
The students took a Unity Day pledge, reaffirming their commitment to peace and harmony within society, which evoked a strong sense of shared responsibility among all.
